LOUISIANA TRIP | FIELD ASSIGNMENT

LOUISIANA TRIP RECAP
New Orleans and Redfish

It was great to see the sights and sounds of New Orleans. I wish I had more time to explore the city and the rich culture but it was great to have a cup of Joe and a beignet at world famous Café Du Monde and observe the colorful scenery of Bourbon street. We found a few redfish, ate a few spicy crawdads, saw some gators and even tossed out a hand-line. All in all it was a pretty amazing trip and I look forward to returning one day.

YELLOW DOG TEAM RETREAT & PINK BOAT

YELLOW DOG TEAM RETREAT & PINK BOAT
Big Hole River, Montana

A team that fishes together kicks butt together. I had a great time at our annual Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures retreat this past weekend at Great Waters Inn in Melrose, Montana. It was a fun few days of fishing and relaxing. Thanks all!

The “Pink Boat” was out and about and has a new logo wrap. Wanna help row her around on your river this summer?! Rowing for a Cure Pink Boat

FLYFISHING & TYING JOURNAL | SUMMER 2016 COVER

FLYFISHING & TYING JOURNAL | SUMMER 2016 COVER
Summer 2016 issue | Henry’s Fork River, Idaho

The new 2016 summer issue of the Flyfishing & Tying Journal magazine just hit the newsstands. I am very happy to see that Brad and I landed the cover.

This image is of Brad Miller when he was guiding at TroutHunter Lodge guide in Idaho. Brad and a few others took advantage of a rare day off so the crew hitched up the boats headed to the lower Henry’s Fork river. It was a great day of fishing with stoneflies and streamers for brown trout. Over the years Brad has helped me create many great images: Ozzie the Osprey, a rare mountain orchid bloom, been a stunt caster for a few of my commercial shoots and of course there is the fishing. Big thanks for all the help over the years my friend.
