  BGP + TEAM

GLOBAL + COMMERCIAL + EDITORIAL + ADVERTISING

No job too big or small. We are experienced professionals who can execute anything from a well-organized commercial shoot to an authentic editorial story.

Need editing, coloring, and/or compelling content campaigns? We can do that. Our team excels in working in tough environments, subpar conditions, and rugged climates – and often times it’s all of the above.

We love long hours with no sleep, little food, and mystery meat, and we can survive for days on just coffee — a lot of coffee. We’ve been bitten by misquotes in both tropical and temperate rainforests and harassed by sharks in three oceans. We’ve dodged avalanches in the backcountry and have lugged camera gear across all seven continents. We’re accustomed to being shaken down by customs, getting chased by bears, and avoiding getting sick on planes. Jet boats, float planes, seaplanes, drift boats, powerboats, dugout canoes, heel-toe express – there’s no mode of transportation we won’t take to get the work done.

We thrive on challenges and the ability to be creative … but please, no middle seats.

TIM HARDEN
Writer + Content Creator

Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Tim spent much of his youth escaping to nearby waters in Maryland and West Virginia to chase bass. At 18, he moved to Colorado and continued to use vehicles as both base camps and beds while devoting himself to many of the rivers and backcountry lakes in the Colorado Rockies. In Colorado, Tim guided and worked for several fly shops and fly fishing magazines.

Since completing a master’s degree, Tim relocated to the San Francisco Bay area where he owns and operates The Venturing Angler, a popular website focused on fly fishing travel, and Coast Fly Media, a marketing company with an impressive list of clients covering numerous industries.

When not behind a computer or fly fishing the globe, Tim works as an environmental activist and advocate. He teaches courses in ecological justice and is an ambassador for CalTrout.

WILL PHELPS
Production Assistant + Camera Operator + Editing

Will Phelps is a Bozeman-based angler who originally hails from Atlanta and comes with a passion for the outdoors. Will has long loved a number of outdoor pursuits, including camping, snowboarding, climbing, and mountain biking, but it’s his passion for fly fishing that he now centers his life around.

This devotion emerged while he was a student at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee; however, it’s possible that his love for fly fishing is in his genes — Will’s grandfather was a rod builder who lived in upstate New York and tied flies for Orvis. Will proudly continues his grandfather’s legacy through his passion for fly fishing and finds inspiration from his grandfather.

While in college, Will fished throughout the South, especially in Georgia and Tennessee, and along the way, he made numerous fly fishing video shorts documenting his ventures. As a production assistant for Bryan Gregson Photography (BGP), Will now uses his interests to take on a wide range of work including filming, editing, database and archive management, and trekking gear through the field while on assignment. Will has enjoyed traveling with BGP to distant waters but always looks forward to getting back to fishing in Montana.

Along with freelance work, the BGP team also works with Yellow Dog Fly Fishing Adventures,
