The new issue of The Drake Magazine is on the rack. I am thrilled to see our trip to the Rio Palena Lodge in Chile in print.
It takes a team effort to make these images come to life. A big thank you to all those anglers, guides, lodge staff, and people involved in the process… and to the print magazines who still hold credible journalism in high regard.
Grab yourself a print copy or order a subscription, you won’t be disappointed and won’t ever miss an issue.
Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures has released their new 2019 Travel Catalog. Once again the catalog is packed with global adventures, reputable destinations, and articles. For the first time ever YDFA has also released a second catalog. This a Patagonia region specific catalog covering the ins and out of both Chile and Argentina.
It’s always fun to flip through these and remember all the amazing people and unforgettable moments that were shared while on location shooting. There is a lot of hard work and sleepless buggy nights that went into creating this content and it was worth every shutter click, even the hotter than sin sleepless buggy nights.
The new summer issue of the Anglers Journal is hot off the press and I am very happy to see this starscape image make it to print. This photo was taken at the Temple Camp with Patagonian BaseCamp Lodge in Chile. Good times and better memories.
MOONLIT HOUSE & BASECAMP NIGHTSCAPE Las Pampas, Chubut, Argentina | Temple Camp, Chile
These are a few night images I captures during my 3-week trip to South America. The first is a a still frame of a night time-lapse captured at our basecamp, the “Casa del Limado”, in the Andes Mountains, Argentina. I spent 3 weeks living editing, drinking mate, lighting the fire in the crisp morning, making instant coffee and eating backcountry pizza. It’s a place I look forward to visiting each year each year. The second image is of the “Temple Camp” on the banks of the Rio Palena flowing out of the Andes in Chile. It was an incredible camp on a very productive and scenic river.
