EDITORIAL | THE FLYFISH JOURNAL 12.2 Published Editorial
It’s always great to see a few images making it to print. In the day and age of the digital revolution, there is something that is organically pleasing to view, and touch, images on actual paper. A big thanks to those who help make these a reality. Anglers, sponsors, and the lodges, without you these images wouldn’t be possible.

The new issue of American Angler Magazine has hit the shelves. This is the first issue of 2020! We were delighted to see a few of our images make the cut and accompanying an article by Chris Santella. Bonefish are certainly one of our favorite fish to pursue. If you get a chance, check it out!

And that’s a wrap! We just finished the last scenes for the new film project premiering in 2017 with the Fly Fishing Film Tour and we all couldn’t be more pleased. The filming and interviews are completed and our editors, writers and music engineers are putting their final touches on to the project. A big thanks to the man with a giant heart, “Sandflea”! We are all going to miss Mrs. Sandflea’s home cooking! And a huge thanks to all those who opened their door to the production team, we miss certainly Mexico already.

A few new Hatch Outdoors Ads have been surfacing this spring season, its always great to see the fruits of our labor seeing the light of day.
These images always take a team effort, these two here were helped created with global guide Gabriel Gygax in Xcalak Mexico in the first photo and Tom Melvin of Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures in Caye Caulker Belize in the second image. Big thanks to all the anglers, manufacture, lodges, staff, guides, logistics agents, etc, who helped with the process, these images wouldn’t be created without your help and continued support. + Hatch Outdoors: http://www.hatchoutdoors.com/
It’s a humbling experience to see your work in print. The studying, the tinkering, the leaning, the support, and all the mistakes finally come together for one complex click of a button. I couldn’t be more pleased to see my imagery of my friends Millie and Oggy in retail stores. The shop pictured here is Emerald Water Anglers in Washington. If you’re ever in the Seattle area be sure to swing into this amazing one of a kind shop! Thanks for sending in the great pic Catie!
