The new summer issue of the Anglers Journal is hot off the press and I am very happy to see this starscape image make it to print. This photo was taken at the Temple Camp with Patagonian BaseCamp Lodge in Chile. Good times and better memories.
HEADED TO THE SOUTHERN HEMI Las Pampas, Chubut, Argentina
I had time to drop bags, wash clothes, download cards, charge batteries and repack. I’m headed south to Argentina and over the boarder to Chile. I’m looking forward to linking up with with my old friends and the gauchos. After every return trip I always wish I had more time to experience and explore this region. I feel fortunate that I am able to see just a small glimpse of it all.
This venture has many moving parts including the rivers, lakes, camp, photography and cinematography. Imagery and motion captured here will be used for various outlets including the lodge and for an upcoming work in progress. A conservation film with Travis Lowe titled Finding Fontinalis, showing in 2016. Stay tuned.
THE MILKY WAY OVER THE HENRYS’S FORK RIVER | IDAHO Starscape
I spent a great, and freezing cold, night taking images of the night sky over the river.
When your gazing at the stars for hours upon hours, you can’t help but to wonder about many things, but I certainly know with out a doubt, the universe is undeniably mind-blowing.
“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.” ― Carl Sagan
AURORA BOREALIS | WRANGELL, ALASKA Northerns Lights, AK
As random luck would have it, I was able to snag a scramble image of the northern lights here in Alaska. I feel very fortunate to be able to see them and very lucky to be able to fire off a few images before it disappeared.
