We were excited when we received the call from our good friends over at Sage Fly Fishing to be part of their 2019 Trout Season campaign. The campaign consisted of a few parts and we were happy to be a small part of the big picture. The images are to accompany beautifully written words from writer Chris Dombrowski and a film from R.C. Cone/Tributary Digital Cinema. The theme was the Henry’s Fork — the surrounding people and places within the Yellowstone caldera and overall Western fly fishing. It was an honor to be part of this project.

Tucked back in the nook of the Yellowstone Caldera is what I call a beautiful slice of heaven. Over the years I’ve grown to deeply love this small little place with a mighty river. Although my camera often times takes me to far off places to document amazing fisheries, I always think of the Henry’s Fork and the friends who call it home. Thanks to all those that let me tag along on your adventures over the years and for letting me stick a camera in your face.

It was an honor to be a part of the Sage Fly Fish 2019 Trout Season project, The Misfit Saviors. The Henry’s Fork River is a special place for me personally. It has as much to do with the people as it does with the river. There have been so many gracious people that have helped me along the way. I wouldn’t be pursuing this line of work without each of them. I must admit, it was a bit nerve-racking being on the other side of the lens!

It was a real pleasure working with the director and cinematographer, R.C. Cone, and his crew. They were more than courteous and professional, as expected.
