EXPERIENCE GUIDE 2020
Kamchatka, Russia

We couldn’t be more pleased to see a few images from Kamchatka grace the pages of Fortune magazine. This was a great trip with great folks — Tom Melvin and James Carroll.

Kamchatka is still a completely wild place with incredible fishing. If you have ever dreamed of fishing remote, untouched rivers for large, aggressive, surface-feeding native rainbow trout, then this trip should be at the very top of your list.

This issue is has a lot of interesting articles and great adventure travel destinations, it’s not one to be missed.

Be sure to head down to your local newsstand and grab yourself a copy or better yet, order a subscription, you won’t be disappointed.

GRAY’S SPORTING JOURNAL: PHOTO ESSAY // RUSSIAN SPRING

PHOTO ESSAY | KAMCHATKA PENINSULA
57° N 160° E – West of Russia Mainland

The Senanda River is mousing heaven if I’ve ever seen one. It’s not the fishing that draws me back here, it’s the overall experience. The landscape, the camp fires, the people, the food, the wildlife and then, of course, there is the fish. It was incredible to see a forest that is still relatively untouched and truly wild. Big thanks to Tom, Alejandro and James for letting me tag along with my camera daily.

This issue is packed with great articles and some impressive photo essays, it’s not one to be missed.

I urge anyone that is concerned about public lands and public stream access to please get involved. If its not BHA, get involved in a local organization that is working towards a common sense compromise. Our future generations will thank you!

Check out the BHA link for detailed information on each region of the US. Its worth the read. Its also free, so download it, read it and pass it along.

Get informed, get involved.

UNDER THE BRIDGE: TROUT BUMS

SUPPER UNDER THE BRIDGE: TROUT BUMS
Corcovado River, Argentina

Sharing supper with the old guard, the trout bums, who live under the road bridge on the Corcovado River in Patagonia, Argentina. It was a rare glimpse into the lives of these anglers who’ve been gathering here as friends to chase fins for over 30 years. Here, Pedro serves up a dish of beef stew as trucks drive on the road overhead.

2015 LAS PAMPAS LODGE CATALOG | ARGENTINA

NEW 2015 LAS PAMPAS LODGE CATALOG IS HOT OFF THE PRESS!
Published, Commercial Catalog

This is one of my favorite shoots that I look forward to every year. The fishing is great, the scenery is superb and the local people are the salt of the Earth. It’s the people that bring me back year after year. The culture, spirit and tradition of the old world are still alive and well.

Ol’ Henry got it right, but I’ve already knew it since a kid …. “Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” … But sometimes I get too busy and forget, that is until I visit the quieter parts of the World, where time stops and Mother Nature roams free.
